The Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated at IIBS on 8th November 2024, in the esteemed presence of dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The event commenced with the hoisting of the state flag, followed by the rendition of the state anthem. The dignitaries then participated in the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the official commencement of the programme.

The proceedings were formally introduced by the event's anchors, after which the dignitaries addressed the gathering. The first speaker, honourable Chairman, Dr. Jay Prakash, spoke eloquently about Bengaluru, highlighting the city's remarkable growth and the opportunities it offers. He also shed light on the city's future prospects.

Dr. T. Jaggaiah, the Academic Director, emphasised the importance of learning the Kannada language and shared how the state had contributed significantly to his personal and professional growth. Following him, Prof. Rizwan Ali Baig, Director of Administration, provided a historical overview of Karnataka, underscoring the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava and the pride it brings to the people of the state. Lastly, Mr. Maheshwar Reddy, the Executive Director, concluded the speeches with a heartfelt tribute to the state and its language.

The event continued with a series of cultural performances. An informative introduction highlighted the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava and the unique cultural aspects of the state. This was followed by a captivating dance performance. The programme concluded with a solemn recital of the state slogan, further honouring the spirit of the day.

Overall, the celebration was a resounding success, with the faculty and students of IIBS thoroughly enjoying the event. The day was marked by a spirit of unity, pride, and deep appreciation for the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka.
